Do TikTok LIVE Agencies Take Money? The Real Percentage
A reputable TikTok LIVE creator network takes 0% of your gift earnings. TikTok pays the network separately, so you keep your full creator share.
A reputable TikTok LIVE creator network takes 0% of your gift earnings. TikTok compensates the network separately through its official partner and incentive programs, so you keep your full creator share. That one sentence answers the question most creators are really asking before they sign anything. There is no percentage skimmed off the top, no joining fee, and no invoice at the end of the month. The money you earn from gifts is yours, and the network gets paid by TikTok on a different track entirely.
I am LJ, founder of Peak Creators and a TikTok LIVE creator myself (@theylovlj). I grew my own LIVE rooms from 18 concurrent viewers to over 2,000, so I have sat on both sides of this. Let me walk you through exactly how the money moves, who pays whom, and why a legitimate network costs you nothing.
The short version
Here is the whole thing in three lines:
- Viewers buy Coins and send you gifts during your LIVE.
- TikTok converts those gifts into Diamonds in your account, then you cash out.
- TikTok pays the network out of TikTok's own cut, never out of yours.
If a network is operating the way TikTok intends, your earnings statement and the network's earnings statement never touch. We at Peak Creators do not see a cut of your Diamonds because there is no cut to see. If you are new to the whole concept, start with What Is a TikTok LIVE Agency?.
How the money actually flows
The payment path has a few hops, and understanding them is what makes the 0% claim make sense.
- Coins. A viewer buys Coins inside the app with real money. Coin pricing is roughly $0.0103 to $0.0133 each depending on region (estimate, source). App-store fees and TikTok's markup are baked in at this step.
- Gifts. The viewer spends those Coins on gifts and sends them to you on your LIVE.
- Diamonds. TikTok converts the gifts you receive into Diamonds, which TikTok describes as virtual items that recognize a creator's popularity. A Diamond is worth roughly $0.005, so about 200 Diamonds equal $1 (estimate, source).
- Cash-out. Diamonds are not directly exchangeable for cash. Under TikTok's Virtual Items policy, your cash-out runs through TikTok's official Rewards and Cash Award program, which pays you directly.
At no point in that chain does a network sit between you and your money. The network is not a middleman on your payout. For a deeper breakdown of every step, see How TikTok LIVE Payouts Work.
So where does the network get paid?
This is the part that confuses people, and it is the heart of the trust question. TikTok runs an official program called LIVE Creator Networks. Networks accepted into it provide coaching, strategy, and feedback to creators, and TikTok pays the network for doing that work. Networks operate through verified Organization Accounts inside TikTok's LIVE Backstage portal.
The key fact: TikTok pays the network from TikTok's own platform cut, separately from your creator share. Independent analysis of gift payments estimates TikTok's effective end-to-end take is around 77% once app-store fees and Coin markup are included, leaving creators a net of roughly 25% to 50% of viewer spend depending on how you measure (estimate, source). The network's compensation comes out of TikTok's portion, not yours. Reputable networks take 0% of creator Diamonds for exactly this reason (source).
What Peak Creators charges (nothing)
Let me be plain about our own numbers, because vague answers are how people get nervous.
- Peak Creators takes 0% of your gift or Diamond earnings.
- Peak Creators is 100% free for creators. No joining fee. No monthly fee.
- TikTok compensates Peak Creators separately, through the official program, out of TikTok's cut.
We are an official TikTok LIVE agency operating on the LIVE Creator Networks program via TikTok's LIVE Backstage portal. Our incentive is aligned with yours: we earn from TikTok when our creators grow and go LIVE consistently, so the only way we win is by helping you win. If you want the longer answer on this exact topic, we wrote a companion piece: Do TikTok LIVE Agencies Take a Cut?
How to confirm a network is official
You do not have to take anyone's word for it. TikTok gives you positive signals you can check yourself:
- It is free to join. Official networks are paid by TikTok, so they do not charge creators or take a slice of Diamonds.
- It has a verified Organization Account on LIVE Backstage. This is where real networks operate, per TikTok's own LIVE Backstage portal.
- It connects to TikTok's official program. Legitimate networks sit under the LIVE Creator Networks umbrella.
Peak Creators meets all three. If you want to compare your options first, see our roundup of the Best TikTok LIVE Creator Networks in 2026.
Do I need followers or a fee to start?
No fee, ever. As for followers: there is no minimum to join Peak Creators. Creators at every stage are welcome, including people who have not gone LIVE yet.
TikTok's own LIVE-access rules still apply when you actually go live. You generally need to be 18+ to broadcast and to send or receive gifts, and the common threshold to go LIVE is around 1,000 followers, though TikTok says this varies by market and recognized networks can sometimes grant access below it (source). The follower nuance is real and region-dependent (source). Either way, getting you LIVE-ready is part of what we do.
What you actually get for free
Since the network takes nothing, a fair next question is what the value is. Here is what Peak Creators provides at no cost:
- 1:1 and group coaching on going live, audience retention, and growth.
- In-house tools: custom overlays, interactive scripts, and stream mechanics.
- Creator asset packs: overlays, alerts, sounds, and scene templates.
- A large, active community of TikTok LIVE creators for cross-promotion, collabs, and accountability.
These directly target what TikTok's discovery rewards: strong first-minutes retention, sustained watch time, real-time engagement, and a consistent schedule (source). On top of your gift earnings, completing LIVE missions can add real money: scaled LIVE Rewards in 2025-2026 stack per-LIVE missions worth up to roughly 40% and weekly missions up to about 13%, an estimated max near 53% depending on region (estimate, source).
What creators realistically earn
Earnings vary widely and no audited public dataset exists, so treat these as illustrative estimates: beginners often land around $50 to $300 per month, rising creators roughly $1,000 to $5,000, and top creators $10,000 to $50,000+ (estimates, source). Whatever tier you reach, the network's 0% cut means your number is your number.
When you cash out, TikTok pays you directly. Cash-out is PayPal-only with tiered low minimums and one withdrawal per day under TikTok's Cash Award terms. Peak Creators creators are paid monthly via PayPal.
The bottom line
A legitimate TikTok LIVE network is paid by TikTok, not by you. The Coins-to-Diamonds-to-payout path runs straight from viewers through TikTok to you, and the network's compensation comes from TikTok's own cut on a separate track. That is the model Peak Creators runs on, and it is why we can say plainly: we take 0%, and joining is free.
